Kids Club - June 27

Join us for a fun and hands-on Kids Club gardening class at New North Greenhouses!

On June 27, children will plant their very own Senecio barbertonicus ‘Himalaya’, a unique upright succulent with fresh green foliage. Kids will learn the basics of planting, potting, and caring for their new plant in a cheerful, beginner-friendly setting.

This class is designed for children ages 3+ and is a great way to introduce young gardeners to the joy of growing plants. Each participant will leave with their planted Senecio to take home and enjoy.

Senecio barbertonicus ‘Himalaya’ (often sold as Senecio ‘Himalaya’ or Succulent Bush Senecio) is a striking, fast-growing succulent featuring dense, bright green, needle-like foliage that curves upwards. Native to South Africa, it produces fragrant, bright yellow flowers and thrives indoors in sunny conditions with minimal watering.
